Excalidraw

Excalidraw is a Virtual whiteboard for sketching hand-drawn like diagrams and it has forever changed how I do system architecture design and UI mocks.

The top reasons I love it:

• Quick to use without the need to create an account. Just visit the site and start using it. Thats it.
• Everything is saved in your browser’s local storage.
• Export to a portable file type. Thats right, save your whiteboarding sessions as pure JSON.

As a visual person, I use Excalidraw practically every day to visually represent ideas I have. If you’ve ever spoken to me about anything technical I’ve probably either referenced this tool or pulled it up to visually express what I’m thinking about.
